Makin it happen North Country Style

We are all creative and come up with ideas that would be cool to do right? And yet oftentimes our fears or lack of knowledge or drive get in the way. The result, another idea stored away into nothingness. Well, not here, at least not for our good friend Tim.

He co-owns a 500 acre camp with some friends of his (yes, 500 acres. I know, for many of you that is incomprehensible).  Anyhoo, he has a favorite viewing spot inside the actual camp. It is located in the back and is what would be considered a great room with a large picture window overlooking a green field. I imagine him sitting on the couch one day a couple of years ago looking out thinking "wouldn't it be great to have a water view here?" Of course that idea would occur to many of us. The difference is, with Tim, that spot is now a damn pond. Yup, after some planning, engineering, (his vocation) and a giant excavator (which I am totally bummed I missed seeing in action) there is not one, but two ponds (of course there is much more involved with the creation of them but I am shortening it for the purpose of story telling).

So, of course, the "natural next step" occurs to him and that is to stock the ponds with fish. LOL, these people never cease to amaze me. And on Friday I joined him at his camp to release 100 young large-mouth bass.

Fish being counted for distribution
Ahh, the versatile black garbage bag. What ever did we do without them?

here are the little beauties a little stunned by the new environment.
No worries it would appear they all made it

So here we have a picture of their new home and Tim's new view.
And THAT is the way it is done !!
